Night Manager - Luxury Hotel Company - Up To 29k + Live In Opportunity - East Sussex Areas
IMMEDIATE START
We are seeking an experienced, service-driven Night Manager to join our leadership team at our luxury hotel in Sussex. This full-time, permanent role follows a 4 nights on / 3 nights off rota, with shifts from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel during night hours, ensuring the safety, security, and satisfaction of our guests while maintaining the highest standards of service and professionalism.
This is a key role in a 24-hour operation, acting as the senior point of contact overnight, with responsibility for guest relations, staff coordination, reporting, and emergency management.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience:
Provide a warm, professional, and efficient welcome to late-arriving guests and ensure seamless overnight service.
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and emergencies with discretion and efficiency.
Ensure all guest requests are fulfilled promptly and to a high standard.
Oversee night check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate billing and records.
Hotel Operations:
Supervise night team including porters, night auditors, and housekeeping as applicable.
Perform nightly audits and reconcile financial transactions and reports.
Ensure security and safety procedures are followed, including regular patrols and incident logging.
Prepare and deliver the night manager's report for senior management.
Coordinate early morning guest services, including wake-up calls, transport arrangements, and breakfast preparation where applicable.
Team Leadership:
Motivate and support the night team to deliver excellent service.
Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Ensure a smooth handover between day and night shifts.
Required Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in a similar Night Manager or supervisory role within a luxury hotel or hospitality environment.
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Working knowledge of PMS systems (e.g., Opera, Protel, or similar).
Understanding of night audit processes and basic accounting principles.
First Aid and Fire Warden training (or willingness to obtain).
Calm and professional in high-pressure or emergency situations.
High level of personal presentation and guest service ethos.
