The role:

My Client is looking for a great Pastry chef with ambition, drive and energy, who is experienced in working within a busy Rosette Standard kitchen.

As Pastry Chef in this talented team you will be overseeing a team of Chefs, reporting directly to the Sous & Head Chef, where you will to make the pastry section your own.

You will need to be hands on and want to continue to develop your skills within the kitchen whilst helping to coach and develop junior chefs using quality local produce.

As Pastry chef you will be responsible for the preparation of all desserts & pastry and are encouraged to bring your own ideas and creativity to the table, allowing you to show off all your skills at an establishment with an excellent reputation

This is a full time, permanent, year-round role. Usual hours of work are up to 50 per week, depending on business requirements, over 5 straight shifts.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Pastry Chef to really make a name for themselves.

The Client:

Big volume, 4* Luxury hotel with busy F&B department including Double AA rosette-awarded modern dining restaurant.

Required Skills:

  • The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Pastry Chef with the ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Ensure that correct portion control and amount of "Mis-en-place" are prepared and set up for service in the kitchen
  • Minimise wastage and encourage creative thinking
  • Adhere to all company and government food safety legislation
  • Assist in ensuring good kitchen planning to enable a trouble-free service and customer satisfaction
  • Help to promote and maintain a good working environment, leading by example and develop the team around you
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and a passion for innovative and exciting menus
  • Be a problem solver, ready to come up with on the spot solutions
  • Hands on, passionate, Energetic Self-motivated individual
  • Proven track record in delivering high quality dishes in a time pressured environment
  • Assist with the ordering and controlling of stock
  • Passionate about food, standards & results
  • Experience as a Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager within a similar environment
