Popular Cocktail Bar & Club - Bristol

The role:

My Client is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and experienced General Manager to take the helm of their popular late-night cocktail bar and club in Bristol

As General Manager of this late licence venue you will be reporting to the Operations Manager. Whilst keeping with the Brands USP's, you will have full operational control over the business, maximising all opportunities to drive and increase sales.

As General Manager, you will be commercially aware of current trends as well as being able to deliver regular content, whilst marketing and promoting the business to increase footfall.

You will have a good understanding of how to control costs, managing your GP and wage percentages accordingly.

This is a hands-on role, that requires you to be the face of the business, leading, motivating, training and developing your team to deliver a great experience to all your customers whilst building a strong relationship with the local community.

You will have a good knowledge of cocktails, drinks and music and understand what fits the business and its clientele.

As the General Manager you will need to build and maintain great relationships with the local council and police, ensuring that the business remains compliant at all times with regards to Licensing Laws & Health & Safety.

Required Skills:

  • Previous experience and proven success within quality late license bar/club environment
  • Creative sales building ideas
  • Good understanding of social media and how to promote and market the business
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop your team
  • Personal Licence Holder
  • Good understanding of Licensing laws and government legislation
  • Strong community engagement skills and good networker
  • Hands on approach
  • Strong financial awareness, controlling costs and driving margins
  • Excellent customer service skills.
