4* Hotel and Spa - 2 rosette restaurant - Somerset

Currently recruiting for an exceptional Sous Chef with ambition, drive and energy, who is experienced in working within a Rosette Standard kitchen.

As Sous Chef, supporting the Head Chef, you will need to be hands on and want to continue to develop your skills within the kitchen whilst helping to coach and develop your brigade to deliver exceptional food and service

As Sous Chef, you will deliver some of the best food in the industry, showcasing your passion and enthusiasm for cooking fresh, locally sourced and quality ingredients.

You will have input in creating the menus on a seasonal basis, whilst controlling costs and delivering agreed GPs

This is a full time, permanent, year-round role.

Required Skills:

  • Ensure that correct portion control and amount of "Mis-en-place" are prepared and set up for service in the kitchen
  • Minimise wastage and encourage creative thinking
  • Adhere to all company and government food safety legislation's
  • Ensure good kitchen planning to enable a trouble-free service and customer satisfaction
  • Help to promote and maintain a good working environment, leading by example and develop the team around you
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and a passion for innovative and exciting menus
  • Be a problem solver, ready to come up with on the spot solutions
  • Hands on, passionate, Energetic Self-motivated individual
  • Proven track record in delivering high quality dishes in a time pressured environment
  • Responsible for ordering and controlling of stock
  • Passionate about food, standards & results
  • Experience as a Sous Chef within a similar Rosette Standard environment
  • Creative and up to date with new food trends and concepts, whilst always looking to learn & develop
