Events Coordinator

Stunning Coastal hotel & spa - Cornwall

I am currently working with a great hotel, in a stunning part of Cornwall, looking to recruit an experienced events coordinator.

As events coordinator, you will deal with all inbound enquiries and be proactive with activities outside the venue to drive wedding & event sales into the property.

As meetings & events coordinator, you will be responsible for a large variety of event enquiries ranging from professional meetings and conventions to private functions and weddings, whilst achieving set targets. You will have a proven track record in sales, event organising and wedding co-ordination in similar size property.

You will be experienced in providing show-rounds and building relationships with prospective clients

You will be able to consistently deliver a 5* level of guest care and will be creative, enthusiastic and proactive in increasing the businesses events offering.

My Client has events facilities for up to 250, where weddings, conferences, private dining and a whole host of other special occasions take place.

Required skills/experience:

  • Previous experience in similar sized property and role
  • Managing all enquiries from the initial stage through to completion
  • Experienced in driving sales and bookings
  • Prepare proposals and contracts
  • Conduct show rounds with maximum effectiveness
  • Ensure all enquiries are dealt with quickly and efficiently
  • Creative thinker, Excellent written and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, Well presented
  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills
  • Ability to carry out and give clear instructions to ensure events run seamlessly
  • Highly organised with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and work to deadlines
  • Strong leadership abilities
