Business Development Manager

Leading 4* Hotel - Stunning Cornwall Location

I am currently working with one of Cornwall's most Iconic hotels, located in one of the most popular and beautiful bays in the area, looking to recruit an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join their team to drive and significantly increase revenues across all departments

This is an exciting and challenging role, whereby you will play a key part in maximizing all sales opportunities across Rooms, F&B, Spa & Leisure and Conference & Events whilst being involved in launching new products and services

As Business Development Manager, you will lead, motivate and inspire a small team and work closely with the Senior operations team. You will be a good strategist and planner, with a proven background and sound understanding of sales & marketing.

You will have experience in the leisure and hospitality market, ideally from hotels from a minimum 4-star quality with destination spa operations and high-quality F&B operations.

As an experienced Business Development Manager you will build on and develop the hotels existing network, engaging with new and prospective clients, directing the marketing activities to ensure that the hotels objectives are achieved

Required Skills:

  • Assist with maximising total revenue from all income streams - specifically accommodation, Spa, Food & Beverage and C&B.
  • Continue to build brand and reputation throughout Cornwall and the UK
  • Grow the hotel's business in the local market for restaurants, spa, and conference and banqueting
  • Create and implement strong social media strategy and content plans, whilst monitoring the results
  • Proactive and flexible individual with the ability to Identify opportunities for new business
  • Strong networking skills, regularly attending relevant local networking events with the ability to build relationships quickly.
  • Attend trade shows & exhibitions as required
  • Work well with all departments within the hotel to ensure the highest guest experience is always delivered
  • Portray a professional, customer focused image at all times building long lasting relationships.
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills of self and others, juggling multiple projects of different size, complexity and priority.
  • Lead the creation of each year's Sales & Marketing plan
  • Develop and create marketing campaigns to continue to raise awareness, attract new audiences and further develop the hotel, spa & leisure facilities, F&B and C&B
  • Support and oversee the Design, development and implementation of digital marketing campaigns, managing all print, digital, advertising, events and PR
  • Produce valuable and engaging content for website that attracts and converts target audiences.
  • Be pro-active, continuously looking for ways to further develop the hotel offering.
  • Ensure an exemplary service is delivered without fail to a 4/5 star criteria, adapting communication styles as appropriate for each situation/audience.
  • Motivate, inspire, coach and support the Sales, Marketing & Events team to improve and develop to their full potential.
