I am delighted to be working with a busy modern, corporate 4 star who are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the management team of a circa 100 bedroom hotel with C&B for over 400 guests. This role is a 40 minutes commute by car from Birmingham.

As Business Development Manager , you will work to deliver the budgeted sales revenue for the property, managing key accounts withing Corporate , Leisure and Conference Markets.

You'll conduct face to face sales appointments and deliver show rounds to secure new and existing business as well as supporting the sales team with Fam trips, company events and networking.

Through your in-depth knowledge of the facilities, you will ensure the potential of the property is maximised .
With an emphasis on local account growth in weddings, conference and events and banqueting , this is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen on being in a highly visible role, with the hunger to continually improve standards and really make their mark as part of this exciting journey.

The ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with a track record of sales achievement in the hospitality industry.

To be successful, you should

  • have a thorough understanding of the channels used to market the hotel & create revenue opportunities.
  • be well networked and aware of local, national and global trends in the industry.
  • have a high degree of commercial awareness and be able to understand the links between sales and profit.
  • You'll also have excellent communication skills and an entrepreneurial way of working in order to attract new clients.
  • This role is a full time outbound position,you will need to be able to drive and have access to a vehicle due to the nature of the role.

Essential Skills:

  • Previous experience within hotel sales management in a similar sized property at a 3 or 4 star hotel level
  • Ability to work around the UK to secure new and existing business
  • A good network of clients and agencies to drive sales into the hotel

The Package / Benefits / Opportunities:

This role offers an annual salary in the region of £30,000 plus an achievable bonus per quarter based upon your sales results as an individual and a team as well as lots of company benefits.

In line with UK employment law, you must be eligible to live and work in the UK without restriction and be able to work in the West Midlands area.
