Kitchen Manager - High-End Restaurant Lounge service located at Gatwick Airport near Crawley in West Sussex

The Job Role

  • A great company who are expanding across other Airports in the UK and have contracts across Europe and America
  • We are looking for a hands-on Kitchen Manager or sous chef to join the senior management team and head up the 2-kitchens at Gatwick
  • You will be fully accountable for the on-going training and development of your kitchen team
  • As Kitchen Manager you will oversee all food produced across the site where all the food comes from a central production kitchen and filtered out
  • Two Lounge areas- catering for private members and business class clientele, on offer is an option of either a Buffet style self-service whilst the other offers all plated service with an ala carte menu
  • This business prides themselves on the use of fresh seasonal produce which is reflected in the food offering in each restaurant
  • We need a Kitchen manager who can implement company policies and is process driven
  • Previous high volume experience with-in the branded restaurant or Hotels would be ideal due to the numbers catered for on-site

The Requirements

  • You will come from a similar management position with high volume experience
  • Previous Kitchen manager experience would be ideal but will look at a senior chef ready to step up
  • Level 3 Hygiene is prefered
  • 5-year traceable work history with references essential due to the security of working at this site
  • Track record of team management and people development.
  • You will need to have a good understanding of the corporate and leisure market
  • Previous experience of leading large teams is essential
  • We are looking for a Hands-on, Self-starter who can manage their own time
