***Please note that this role will involve relocation. Term of Contract is 3 years****

Our Client is a quality boutique Hotel are looking to recruit a dynamic and talented Head Chef for their property situated on a stunning island in the Atlantic. . This is a great opportunity with lots of exciting things happening through the course of the year. With some significant and positive changes at the hotel, you will be tasked with the development of the food offering in the business.

Job Description

As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for:

  • The day to day running of the kitchen team
  • Involved in some areas of stock control and gross profit margins
  • Managing and inspiring at team of up to 10/12 staff
  • Working alongside the General Manager
  • Experience in cooking a variety of dishes from fine dining to pub classics
  • Responsible for menu creations and costings.
  • Experienced in running high volume breakfast, lunch & dinner service
  • Innovation of cooking imaginative dishes
  • Focusing on Attention to detail
  • Maintaining brand standards
  • Training and development of staff
  • Working under pressure
  • Be able to think on your feet in order to solve problems

The Ideal candidate will be:

  • An experienced Head Chef with at least 2/3 years working in a fresh food dining restaurant in a hotel environment
  • Able to develop and implement strategies to minimise wastage
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must have experience in managing large teams
  • Understand all elements of cost control and gross profit targets
  • Focus on attention to detail
  • Must be self motivated
  • Dealing with senior Managers and Directors
  • Good understanding about H&S and food hygiene
  • Experience in working with local ingredients
  • Friendly and upbeat personality

The ideal candidate will have great organisational skills along with the passion and commitment in driving excellent culinary service to the clientele and a proven track record in the fresh food restaurant in a up market hotel.
