Riverside Pub with Rooms - Devon
JWR is excited to be working with one of the South West's most established & leading operators looking to recruit an experienced Head Chef to lead and support the brigade, delivering great food and experiences to all its guests for one of their popular Pubs with rooms in a fantastic Devon Riverside location.
You will need to be hands-on and want to continue to develop your skills within the kitchen whilst recruiting your own team, helping to lead, coach & inspire them to continue to develop using the finest quality fresh produce.
As Head Chef in this super riverside pub, you will work alongside an experienced General Manager with a passion for the business focusing on traditional, high-quality British pub food.
The menu offers great pub food all cooked fresh. This role would suit someone from a high-volume gastro/Premium branded pub background.
Required Skills:
- Currently a Head Chef within a similar busy premium pub environment
- Minimise wastage and encourage creative thinking
- Adhere to food safety legislation
- Ensure good kitchen planning to enable a trouble-free service and customer satisfaction
- Help to promote and maintain a good working environment, leading by example and develop the team around you
- Have the ability to work under pressure with a proven track record in delivering high quality dishes in a time pressured environment
- Be a problem solver, ready to come up with on the spot solutions
- Hands on, passionate, Energetic Self-motivated individual
- Manage ordering and controlling of stock
- Passionate about food, standards & results
Salary:
- Up to £40k + Additional Benefits & Bonus
