JWR is working with a stunning luxury boutique hotel located in a picturesque location on the Devon Coast, looking to recruit an exceptional Food and Beverage Manager to lead the F&B team from the front line with a hands-on approach.

As Food & Beverage Manager you will be enthusiastic, highly motivated, engaging and truly professional in leading the team in the day to day running of the F&B operation, whilst always delivering exceptional guest service.

You will be an experienced & passionate Food & Beverage Manager from a quality background with excellent knowledge of Food and Wine and use this knowledge to train and develop the team.

As F&B Manger you will have a solid understanding of budgets and GP's and able to maximize all sales opportunities while controlling costs. This is an excellent opportunity for a Food and Beverage Manager to join a top-quality property and group and enhance your individual skills and knowledge, whilst ensuring that the highest of standards and service are met, and that your team are trained, developed and motivated by your example to do the same.

The hotel has benefited from extensive investment and refurbishment and is finished to the highest of standards, attracting a premium clientele.

The F&B department consists of 100cv Restaurant, 70cv Bar & Lounge area, plus outdoor kitchen and service areas for up to 200cv. Part of a group of luxury hotels and resorts, they have opportunities for internal promotion and a chance to grow and flourish within their brand. This hotel is situated in an excellent water-side location in a stunning and remote part of Devon. Immediate start available.

Required Skills:

• Hands on approach with a passion for service essential. This is not an office job!
• Previous experience within a similar size & quality property. Minimum 4*
• Responsible for the overall day to day running of the F&B operation
• Ensure restaurant areas and team are presented to the highest standard and always delivering the best possible service.
• Passionate about recruiting, training, developing & inspiring the team.
• Good knowledge of quality food & wines.
• Thrive under pressure in an unpredictable environment
• Pro-active and good at problem solving, with the ability to manage staff ratios and deliver consistent standards.
• Demonstrate an extremely high capability of planning, directing and executing
• Continually drive forward improvements in products and services.
• Ensures the departmental budgeted revenues and profits are achieved within the Bar and Restaurant,
• To monitor all departmental costs and recommend appropriate measures to control them, providing detailed sales, wages and cost forecasts
• To be responsible for all F&B stocktaking, producing detailed results, creating action plans as required.
• Take full responsibility for all H&S, legal aspects and training within the department.
• To monitor service and f&b quality standards and to work with the team to take corrective action where necessary.
