General Manager
Trendy Cocktail Bar Operation - Devon
JWR is currently working with an independent operator looking to recruit an experienced General Manager for their Trendy Café/Cocktail Bar Operation in a popular Devon Town.
As General Manager, you will lead this business from the front with a hands-on approach, and drive sales whilst ensuring all operational costs are controlled, excellent levels of standards and service are delivered, GP's are strengthened and maintained and an overall great experience is delivered to all guests through the training and developing your team.
As General Manager, you will be highly experienced in driving sales, regularly keeping up to date with the local competitors, while coming up with fresh, creative ideas and content to enhance the business and the guests experience.
You will have sound knowledge of running a bar operation, whilst also being able to deliver a strong daytime offer reflecting the guest's requirements.As General Manager, you will quickly build relationships within the local area, and engage with the local community. The business is seasonally led, with a late licence, operating with a great reputation. Directly reporting to the owners, the successful candidate will be given the autonomy to take it to the next level!
Required Skills/Experience:
- Previous experience from a similar size operation, ideally with a good mix of branded and independent food and wet led business.
- Proven results of driving sales
- Ability to Create and deliver great content and events
- Up to date with current products and trends - Especially Cocktails!
- Sound knowledge of controlling and delivering P&L
- Excellent leader, developer and motivator of people
- Keen eye for detail
- Service and standards driven
- Knowledge of the local market an advantage, but not essential.
- Personal Licence & Food hygiene preferred.
- Solid understanding of licensing laws and ability to build relationships with key authorities.
Salary:
- £30k+ £5K Bonus based on achieving set KPI's
