Established Pub Company - New Forest
JWR is excited to be working with an established Pub Company with a great mix of community and destination led pubs and inns across the UK, all with fantastic character and potential, looking to recruit a passionate, enthusiastic and driven Sous Chef for their popular site based in the New Forest area.
As Sous Chef, you will need to be hands on and want to continue to develop your skills within the kitchen whilst supporting the Head Chef in helping to lead, coach & inspire the brigade to deliver great food and create memorable experiences.
As Sous Chef in this super pub, you will work alongside an experienced Head Chef & General Manager with a passion for the business focusing on traditional, high quality British pub food.
This role would suit someone from a high-volume gastro/Premium branded pub/restaurant background. The property is based in a popular area and loved by the locals, whilst also attracting those visiting the area and offers wonderful and classic pub features, serving freshly cooked food and delicious beers with stunning garden areas. Strong turnover, so high-volume experience essential.

Required Skills:
- Currently a Sous Chef within a similar busy premium pub/restaurant environment
- Minimise wastage and encourage creative thinking.
- Adhere to food safety legislation.
- Ensure good kitchen planning to enable a trouble-free service and customer satisfaction.
- Help to promote and maintain a good working environment, leading by example and develop the team around you.
- Have the ability to work under pressure with a proven track record in delivering high quality dishes in a time pressured environment.
- Be a problem solver, ready to come up with on-the-spot solutions.
- Hands on, passionate, Energetic Self-motivated individual
- Manage ordering and controlling of stock.
- Passionate about food, standards & results
- Excellent Kitchen Management
