The Opportunity:
Working for one of the Lake Districts busiest water sports clubs, with a passion to deliver the best possible service to our racing community. We are looking for a General Manager to manage the daily operation of this private members club under a Franchisee agreement.
We are looking for a dedicated, entrepreneurial and ambitious General Manager to organise the smooth running of the house and grounds, including the bar, catering and functions and lettable accommodation.
The Role:
You will be responsible for always providing an impeccable front of house service to both members and public and to ensure that your team do the same.
Ensure all areas of the club house are clean & tidy and available to members and guests.
Full Management of the bar, including staffing, product ordering and stocktaking.
Take responsibility of necessary club administration and finances, checking of all post & emails, answering telephone calls, liaising with the bookkeeper with regards to club billing and account management.
Experience Required:
The Club hosts regular dinners for up to 30 and dinner dances for up to 80, as well as a small number of weddings and external events for up to a max of 200 people.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial General Manager, ready to take on their own franchise business and have excellent and contemporary culinary skills and experience to take charge of breakfasts and bar lunches, as well as having the ability to produce high quality evening meals.
The Package / Benefits / Opportunities:
The remuneration package will be a starting salary of £30,000 per annum plus free self-contained flat within the main house which is suitable for a small family. The franchise agreement gives you the majority of the food turnover, out of which you buy the food, and provide any additional staff required to provide the service. The club provides all the equipment, premises, and fuel.Kindly note due to our client's requirements, sponsorship is not available for this position for those who are not based in the UK or not holding settled status.
