General Manager
Boutique Restaurant with Rooms - Cornwall
JWR is currently working with an independent Boutique Restaurant with Rooms, looking to recruit an experienced General manager with a passion for food and service to lead the team at this lovely property in a fantastic Cornish location.
You will currently already be an experienced General Manager within a quality operation with exceptional restaurant/F&B knowledge & experience.
As General Manager you will be responsible for the direct management of the restaurant working closely with the executive head chef and owners to put this property on the map!
As General Manager, you will operate and manage the overall day to day activities, always maintaining the highest levels of Guest Service from arrival to departure. The property has 11 rooms with fantastic views and offers a delicious menu sampling the best produce Cornwall has to offer under a leading exec chef.
As General Manager, you will identify and maximise all sales opportunities and develop the team to do the same.
This is an exciting time to join the property as it continues to invest, including having their own distillery on site, producing gin, vodka & rum.

Required Skills:
- Strong background in Restaurant & F&B Operations, ideally with rooms experience.
- Passionate about hospitality and service - up to date with current trends
- Duty management/FOH experience within a hotel operation
- Continually monitor the quality of standards across all departments within the property on a daily basis
- Responsible for ensuring the highest standards of Health, Safety & Hygiene
- Maintain excellent guest relations at all times
- Be aware of revenue and targets, encourage the team to drive sales and control costs
- Strong leader and developer of people
- Hard working. dedicated and committed to going the extra mile
- Hands on operator
The Package / Benefits / Opportunities:
- Salary from £35-40k DOE
- Live-in option available/temporary support whilst relocating
