Our Client is a quality independent restaurant who are looking to recruit a dynamic and talented Assistant Restaurant Manager for their beautiful property. This is a great opportunity with lots of exciting things happening through the course of the year. With some significant and positive changes at the restaurant, you will be tasked with the development of the entire restaurant operation.
Job Description
As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for:
- The day to day running of the restaurant team
- Managing and inspiring at team of up to 10 staff
- Working alongside the Head Chef
- Running the day to day operations
- Experienced in running high volume lunch & dinner service
- Coming up with new ideas
- Focusing on attention to detail
- Maintaining brand standards
- Training and development of staff
- Working under pressure
- Be able to think on your feet in order to solve problems
The Ideal candidate will be:
- An experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager with at least 2/3 years experience working in a hotel/restaurant environment
- Must have quality fine dining food background
- Must have strong communication skills
- Dealing with fresh produce
- Dealing with tasting menu's
- Must have experience in managing teams
- Good knowledge of fine wines & spirits
- Focus on attention to detail
- Must be self motivated
- Dealing with senior Managers and Directors
- Good understanding about H&S and food hygiene
- Upbeat personality
- Friendly and upbeat personality
The ideal candidate will have great organisational skills along with the passion and commitment in driving excellent culinary service to the clientele and a proven track record in an up market 4*/5* hotel/restaurant environment.
