An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head Of People to join a luxury high end lifestyle restaurant establishment in the heart of the West End. The client is proud of their strong customer relationships and friendly atmosphere and are looking for an experienced Head Of People who can deliver on the upkeep on all aspects of HR including training, inductions, performance management and help support the restaurant oversee the whole process from start to finish. Due to the demand to servicing their discerning clients, they are looking for a like-minded HR Managers who have worked in similar high end hospitality company with experience in all aspects of HR to join their team on a permanent basis.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintains and enhances the restaurant's people planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices along with the various Senior Managers across their restaurant.
Job Duties:
- Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
- Experience in providing HR coaching initiatives
- Help support the senior management team to discuss people challenges
- Providing guidance on people practices such as succession planning
- Bringing people expertise and developing solutions to help the senior team to deliver its strategy across the restaurants
- Monitoring HR metrics
- Dealing with employee relations and policy issues
- Influencing and building relationships with the employees within the restaurants
- Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits
- Involved in people projects from time to time
- Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs along with the senior management team within the restaurant.
- Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counselling employees and supervisors.
- Completes operational requirements with their fellow management and scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experienced in a similar high end hospitality establishment at HR Manager/Director level within hospitality
- Used to dealing with employment laws
- Must have strong understanding about HR policies and procedures
- Be able to work in a high demanding environment
- Used to help supporting teams to enhance performance through various training plans
- Ability to use data and metrics to drive decision making and change
- Reviews budgets & costs
- Expeerienced in designing company polices
- Be able to promote communication and processes
- Ideally CIPD qualified
- Used to dealing with driving and implementing succession planning
- Involved in all aspects of recruitment, payroll, supports diversity and setting up practices throughout the hotel
- Have at least 3-4 years at HR Manager or above level
- Experience in driving engagement plans
- Be proactive and being able to think on their feet
- Have an upbeat and bubbly personality
The ideal candidate will have great organisational skills along with the passion and commitment in driving the HR department with a proven track record within a high end hospitality environment.
