Job description
Exciting opportunity for an experienced Pub / Bar Manager to join a growing hotel company and support the General Manager in re-opening what use to be an iconic pub in the area.As Pub / Bar Manager, you will recruit, train, develop, motivate and lead the Bar team to deliver consistently excellent service whilst maximizing all sales opportunities.
As Bar / Pub Manager, you must be warm and charismatic, ensuring that the guests receive genuine, personal and outstanding service at all times. You will have excellent attention to detail, as well as great communication towards the guests and your team.
You will already be an experienced Pub / Bar Manager/Supervisor, with previous experience in a similar style operation
Key Responsibilities
Excellent knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails & beers.
Lead, motivate and develop the bar team to provide the highest quality of guest service.
Ensure the bar area is clean, stocked and equipped at all times.
Work well using own initiative and as part of a team.
Train and develop new team members to provide great service.
Develop a great relationship with customers and be able to recommend the perfect drink.
Passion to continue to develop your knowledge and skills.
Good knowledge of GP's, stock procedures, ordering and par levels.
Manage the daily operations of the hotel pub.
Ensuring correct staffing by preparing weekly rotas.
Attend regular team meetings ensuring a strong and clear flow of communication at all times.
Knowledge of PMS systems an advantage.
Personal licence.
Must be flexible to work on weekends and late evenings/ nights
