An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development/Entertainment Manager to join a funky late night group in the heart of the West End. The client is proud of their strong customer relationships and friendly atmosphere and are looking for experienced Business Development/Entertainment Manager who can meet the high standards of the client. Due to the demand to servicing their discerning clients, they are looking for like minded individuals who have worked in a similar Sales business development role within hospitality to join their team on a permanent basis.
Job Description
As a Business Development/Entertainment Manager you will be responsible for:
- MUST be in a similar proactive role in a hospitality environment
- Understands all aspects of cold calling/business development
- Bringing new ideas into the business such as collaborating with new promoters, introducing theme nights, speed dating, setting up new partnerships, increasing new F&B ideas, creating fresh ideas into the business to generate new additional business into the venues
- Heavily focused on sales & selling the current space as well as events
- Generating additional bookings, giving quotes, invoicing and general duties
- Conducting end of day reports
- Attending private hire events & hosting
- Be able to build a sales department from scratch
- Have a little black book of clients to bring on board
- Follow company and department procedures
- Work alongside the General Managers & Directors in order to maximise sales
- Having good admin skills
- Be involved in private hires and up selling
- Creating and understanding about building a database
- Keeping on tract with sales and events sold
- Regular show rounds and events quotes
- Help assist and support Co - workers
- Identifying problems and reacting to resolve the issues
The Ideal candidate will be:
- Experienced in a similar sales & events role/business development within the hospitality industry
- Be able to work in small teams
- Work towards sales targets set by the board
- MUST be flexible in working some weekends with the needs of the business
- Be able to work in a high demanding environment
- Being able to act upon different situations in a precise and professional manner
- Able to give & follow clear instructions
- Used to a target based environment
- MUST have proactive sales experience
- Must have high effective operational event planning and selling spaces & coming up with new ideas
- Flexible to working some weekends whenever needs
- Experience of managing own workload with minimal supervision; able to multi-task, effectively plan work, prioritise and meet deadlines
- Used to dealing with reports and weekly/monthly targets
- Being proactive and being able to think on their feet
- Used to dealing with different types of clientele with customer service being the top priority
The ideal candidate will have great organisational skills along with the passion and commitment in driving excellent service to the clientele and a proven track record as a Sales business development & Events experience
