ROLE: Events Operations Manager - Large Volume Operations background
LOCATION: Solihull Birmingham
SALARY: £30-35,000 per year
Our client is an established Conference venue that provides a variety of conferences, weddings & social events for over 600 people throughout the year in the West Midlands region.
We need an experienced Events Operations Manager to manage and run the department to deliver a variety of events across the calendar year from meetings, AGM's, Product Launches, Christmas parties through to conferences and exhibitions for up to 1000 people as well as meeting and greeting clients.
This role does not involve producing rotas or handling recruitment, or any administration behind the scenes. We need someone to focus on the service delivery and expectations of our guests on the day!
The Essential Skills:
- You MUST possess a proven track record in Conference & Banqueting or meeting & Events operations within a busy conference or meetings venue or hotel.
- Must have strong leadership skills & the ability to be left alone to run any event successfully.
- Must possess strong experience of dealing with large events & functions for circa 1000 delegates.
- Be flexible in dealing with work demands & changing priorities
- Possess a proven track record in providing top-class customer service
- Be proactive & work under your own initiative
- Possess a good commercial awareness
- Possess a positive can-do, hands-on attitude and be passionate about the hospitality industry
