Job description
You will already be an experienced Bar Manager/Supervisor, with previous experience within a family focused property, looking for their next challenge.As Bar Manager, you will operate and manage the overall day to day activities of the bar within the hotels F&B operation, maintaining the highest levels of Guest Service at all times, ensuring a smooth Guest Journey is delivered during all points of the guests visit from arrival to departure.
As Bar Manager, you will have a genuine passion and interest in wines, beers, spirits and cocktails. You will be a Bar Manager of the highest calibre and will be required to be very hands-on with previous experience of working and leading teams in a busy environment. You will identify and maximise all sales opportunities and develop your team to do the same. You must be warm and charismatic, ensuring that the guests receive genuine, personal and outstanding service at all times. You will have excellent attention to detail, as well as great communication towards the guests and your team
This is a key position within the business, so the successful candidate has to be extremely hard working, dedicated and committed to go the extra mile for their guests, a real people's person, but very much a hands-on as this is not an office role.
Required Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails & beers
- Lead, motivate and develop the bar team to provide the highest quality of guest service
- Ensure the bar area is clean, stocked and equipped at all times
- Work well using own initiative and as part of a team.
- Train and develop new team members to provide great service
- Develop a great relationship with customers and be able to recommend the perfect drink
- Passion to continue to develop your knowledge and skills
- Experienced in menu development, training, and a good knowledge of GP's, stock procedures, ordering and par levels.
