An exciting opportunity has arisen for Experienced Head Chef to join an expanding gastro pub company in the in the in the Essex areas. The restaurant offers great food with regular menu changes. The client and is proud of their strong customer relationships and friendly atmosphere. They are looking for an experienced Head Chef preferably with Italian cuisine knowledge who can deliver the highest levels of quality food their refined customers. They are looking for like-minded individuals who have worked in similar upmarket restaurants with experience at Head Chef level to join their team on a permanent basis.

REQUIREMENTS

• Passion for cooking with creative ingredients
• A leader not a boss
• A creative flair
• Managing a large team of up to 7+
• Used to working in a quality environment
• Likes to train and develop others
• Must be able to deal with daily/weekly and seasonal menu changes
• Experience in Italian cuisine food would be a bonus
• Likes to be hands on and lead the team from the front
• Experience with GP, costing, wastage management, ordering, stock etc..
• Strong health & safety knowledge
• A stable work history
