Our client is a high volume independent restaurant company who are looking to recruit a dynamic and talented Assistant General Manager for their fresh food restaurant based in the West End. This is a great opportunity with lots of exciting things happening through the course of the year. With some significant and positive changes at the restaurant, you will be tasked with the development of the restaurant operation.

Job Description

As an Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for:

• The day to day running of the restaurant
• Involved in all areas of stock control and gross profit margins
• Managing and inspiring at team of up to 10+ staff
• Working closely with the Head Chef
• Running the day to day operations
• Experienced in running service & standards
• Coming up with new ideas
• Focusing on attention to detail
• Maintaining brand standards
• Training and development of staff
• Working under pressure
• Be able to think on your feet in order to solve problems

The Ideal candidate will be:

• An experienced Assistant General Manager with at least 2/3 years experience working in a fresh food restaurant environment
• Must have worked in busy environments
• Must have strong communication skills
• Dealing with fresh produce
• Must have volume experience
• Working alongside the General Manager
• Must have experience in managing teams
• Good knowledge of the London market
• Focus on attention to detail
• Flexible in working hours
• Must be self motivated
• Dealing with senior Managers and Directors
• Good understanding about H&S and food hygiene
• Upbeat personality
• Friendly and upbeat personality

The ideal candidate will have great organisational skills along with the passion and commitment in driving excellent culinary service to the clientele and a proven track record in a fresh food restaurant environments.
