Description

Food and Beverage Manager
Private Members Golf Course - Buckinghamshire
JWR is currently recruiting for an experienced and dynamic Food and Beverage Manager to lead and manage the food and beverage operations at our clients prestigious private members golf course.

Salary £35-£40k+ Additional company benefits

Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate will have a passion for exceptional service, an eye for detail, and the ability to deliver an outstanding dining experience to its members and their guests.

You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food and beverage service, including the restaurant, bar, clubhouse, events, and on-course refreshment services.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Food and Beverage Manager, preferably within a private club, hotel, or upscale restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing teams.
  • Excellent financial acumen and experience managing budgets, costs, and profitability.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with members and staff.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage trends, menu development, and inventory management.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Certification in Food Safety and Hygiene is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:

  • Oversee the daily food and beverage operation
  • Ensure that all food and beverage operations are carried out in accordance with the club's standards, policies, and procedures.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and manage the team, including chefs, servers, bartenders, and support staff.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and development to enhance team skills and performance.
  • Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage while maintaining labour cost controls.

Financial Management:

  • Manage the food and beverage department's revenue forecasting, cost control, and expense management.
  • Monitor financial performance and take corrective actions where necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for increased revenue

Member Experience:

  • Ensure a consistently high level of member satisfaction by maintaining quality standards and a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Handle member feedback, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally to ensure a positive experience.
  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency are always maintained.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all food and beverage operations comply with local health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and club policies.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on food safety, hygiene, and service standards.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment for staff and members.
