JWR is excited to partner with a prestigious hotel in Cheltenham, seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager. In this role, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance of the hotel, ensuring statutory compliance while identifying opportunities for larger-scale projects. You will also oversee smaller in-house projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take ownership of hotel maintenance and ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations.
* Identify and recommend large-scale project work, alongside managing smaller in-house projects.
* Lead a small team, helping them develop their skills and knowledge.
Essential Skills:
* In-depth practical knowledge of hotel maintenance, health & safety, and fire regulations.
* Experience in a similar role within the UK hotel industry.
* Ideally hold trade qualifications or technical skills.
* Strong administrative abilities, including health & safety and risk assessment record-keeping.
* Commercially aware, with a solid understanding of budget management.
* Able to work a flexible schedule, including call outs (40 hours/week, 5 out of 7 days).
* Proficiency in IT, with good numeracy and literacy skills.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Highly organised and hands-on, capable of working effectively in a team.
