The Package

  • A basic salary of Circa £95000

The clients

Our clients are a prestigious hospitality group operating four luxury hotels across central London. Renowned for our exceptional guest experience and commitment to excellence, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cluster Financial Controller to oversee and manage the finance function for our multi-site operations. This is a pivotal role that will contribute to the strategic and financial success of our hotel group.

The Role:

As the Cluster Financial Controller, you will lead the financial operations across all four properties, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial information. You will play a key role in supporting the General Managers and Senior Leadership Team in achieving financial targets, driving profitability, and maintaining compliance with UK accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the overall business objectives of the hotel group.
  • Multi-Site Financial Management: Oversee the financial operations of all four hotels, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in reporting and controls.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the preparation of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and financial performance reviews, providing actionable insights to the senior leadership team.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce and present consolidated financial reports to stakeholders, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including VAT, corporation tax, and audit processes.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Cost Control & Efficiency: Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies across the hotel group without compromising on service quality.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with General Managers, department heads, and external partners to drive financial performance and support decision-making.
  • About You:
  • To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced financial leader with a track record of managing a multi-site finance function within the UK hotel industry. You will have excellent analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and a hands-on approach to leadership.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within UK hotels, managing multi-site operations.
  • Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK GAAP, tax regulations, and hospitality-specific financial systems (Oracle, Opera, SUN, or similar).

Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead and manage a finance team across multiple locations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
