We are currently working with a prestigious independent school located near Huntingdon, seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead their culinary team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who thrives in a high-volume catering environment and is looking for a rewarding role with a strong focus on work-life balance.

The Role:

• Leading a well-established kitchen team to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals for pupils, staff, and occasional functions.
• Managing the day-to-day kitchen operations, including ordering, stock control, and compliance with health and safety standards.
• Innovating and evolving the menu to ensure a varied and appealing food offer.
• Maintaining consistently high standards of presentation, taste, and service across breakfast, lunch, and occasional evening functions.

The Candidate:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous in high-volume environments (e.g., schools, contract catering, hotels, or large venues).
• Strong leadership and people management skills with a hands-on and proactive approach.
• Excellent understanding of food safety, allergens, and HACCP procedures.
• A genuine passion for food and service with a keen eye for detail.
