JWR is seeking an organised, detail-focused Accounts Administration Assistant with hotel finance experience to support a fast-paced, friendly and collaborative Accounts department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong numerical ability and experience using Sage, looking to build a long-term career within a respected, people-first hospitality group.

About the Hotel & Finance Team

This reputable 4-star hotel is part of a well-established, successful hospitality group known for its strong performance, supportive work environment and investment in employee development. The finance team works closely with all departments, providing essential reporting and financial support to ensure smooth hotel operations. You'll be welcomed into a positive, engaged team that values accuracy, teamwork and continuous improvement.

The Role - What You'll Be Doing

You will provide vital administrative and financial support to the Financial Controller and hotel leadership team. Your role will be varied, busy and central to the smooth running of daily operations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Produce daily revenue reports, analysing takings across rooms, F&B, conferences and leisure.
  • Check and verify Night Audit reports, ensuring all revenue is captured and balanced correctly.
  • Process purchase ledger invoices, matching PO numbers, coding correctly and maintaining accurate ledgers.
  • Raise and issue customer invoices, support credit control and manage debtor chasing professionally.
  • Prepare and collate information for weekly and monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with month-end processes, journals, reconciliations and stock reporting.
  • Support departmental stocktakes, ensuring correct documentation and data entry.
  • Respond to internal and external queries, providing clear and timely communication with guests and suppliers.
  • General office administration, filing, document control and supporting the Financial Controller with ad-hoc tasks.

What You'll Bring

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of hotel accounts or finance administration experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas beneficial).
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Professional communication skills when dealing with suppliers, guests and internal teams.
  • Understanding of hotel operations and the flow of financial information across departments.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working within a branded hotel or high-volume environment.
  • AAT Level 2 or 3 (not essential but advantageous).
