Salary: Up to £50,000 + Bonus + Outstanding Benefits
We are recruiting on behalf of a luxury 5-star lifestyle hotel in Central London, home to stylish restaurants, bars and exceptional event spaces. We are seeking an experienced Head of Groups & Events Planning to lead the Groups & Events department and drive revenue across all meetings, social events and group business.

The Role
As Head of Groups & Events Planning, you will manage the full planning and coordination of group bookings and events, ensuring flawless execution and maximum profitability. You will lead, train and develop a team of Conference Coordinators/Executives while delivering a high level of client service and operational accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Maximise revenue across all groups, meetings and events.
Lead, coach and develop the Groups & Events team, setting goals and driving performance.
Oversee planning and contracting for all groups and events, ensuring all details are executed to luxury standards.
Support the team with sales training for site visits, upselling and client engagement.
Ensure accurate reporting of all group/event revenue in FOCUS/MICE Switch.
Create action plans to generate new social and corporate event business.
Work with F&B on departmental budgeting, forecasting and monthly projections.
Provide insights for business reviews: OTB business, trends, conversion ratios and opportunities.
Prepare monthly and quarterly Banqueting and Meeting Room forecasts and analysis.
Allocate future events based on team workload and event complexity.
Review contracts and assign group/event planners accordingly.
Support hands-on event management when required to ensure 360° coverage.
Review and approve group summaries and BEOs-issued minimum 7 days pre-event.
Resolve and document operational issues to improve processes and minimise future incidents.
Lead pre-con meetings to ensure strong communication between clients and department heads.
About You
Strong background in Groups & Events Planning within luxury hotels is essential.
Experienced leader with proven team management and development skills.
Excellent communication, organisation and client relationship abilities.
Commercially focused with experience in forecasting, budgeting and event revenue optimisation.
Knowledge of systems such as FOCUS/MICE Switch is desirable.
Must have full right to work in the UK.
