The Role
As Hotel General Manager, you will take full responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership of the hotel. Reporting directly to ownership, you will oversee all departments, ensuring the hotel consistently exceeds guest expectations while delivering strong financial performance.
You will be a visible leader, passionate about hospitality, people development, and creating memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inspirational leadership across all hotel departments
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and commercial performance
- Deliver exceptional guest satisfaction and service standards
- Lead and develop department heads and hotel management teams
- Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial performance
- Ensure effective labour management and cost control
- Develop and implement sales and revenue strategies
- Maintain brand standards, compliance, and operational excellence
- Build strong relationships within the local community and corporate market
- Identify opportunities to enhance guest experience and increase revenue streams
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and succession planning
The Ideal Candidate
- Current Hotel General Manager, Resident Manager, Operations Director or Hotel Manager
- Proven experience managing a quality hotel operation
- Strong commercial awareness with responsibility for hotel P&L
- Demonstrable success in driving revenue growth and profitability
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Strong understanding of hotel sales, revenue management, food and beverage operations, and guest experience
- Passionate about developing teams and creating a positive culture
- Results-driven with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
