Banqueting Manager

High profile luxury hotel - Cardiff

JWR is currently working with a superb collection of luxury hotels looking to recruit and experienced banqueting manager for their newly opened, high-profile hotel in Cardiff City Centre.

As Banqueting Manager, you will have a solid track record in high quality operations and be responsible for the C&B operation, including Conferences, events, weddings and banqueting, delivering a 1st class service to all their clients, overseeing the daily operation of all event spaces and event bars.

As Banqueting Manager, you will have a strong operational background from quality 4/5* background working within a high service environment.

As Banqueting Manager, you will recruit, train and develop your team to ensure the highest levels of guest service are delivered across the department whilst maximising all opportunities to increase revenue. You will be heavily involved in driving the business forwards and play a key part in many upcoming projects

The property boasts 150+ bedrooms including luxury suites, brasserie style restaurant, lounge, bar and outdoor courtyard. Flexible function spaces for up to 500 people. Working closely with a leading sport governing body, hosting top athletes, sports teams and celebs

Required Skills:

  • Previous experience within a similar position and standard operation
  • Experienced in managing and organising events
  • Strong Multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Hands on
  • Experienced in training, developing and motivating your team
  • Good financial awareness
  • Flexible and adaptable to work with excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to manage your workload to meet multiple deadlines and work within a busy and high-pressured environment
  • Strong lines of communication, able to build great rapport with guests & colleagues
  • Good understanding of IT systems
  • Be motivated about delivering fantastic guest service
