General Manager - Luxury Country House Hotel | UK

Are you a visionary hospitality leader with a passion for luxury, heritage, and world-class guest experiences? We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious UK country house hotel-set amidst stunning countryside and steeped in history-for an exceptional General Manager to lead its next chapter.

The General Manager package.

About the Property:

This award-winning boutique hotel combines timeless elegance with contemporary comfort. Featuring bespoke guest rooms, a fine-dining restaurant, private event spaces, and acres of manicured gardens, it attracts discerning guests.

Your Role:

As General Manager, you'll be the face of the property and the driving force behind its success. You'll take full operational and strategic control, delivering an unforgettable guest journey while mentoring a passionate team and maintaining the highest standards of service and presentation.

The Hotel General Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations across all departments (rooms, F&B, events, spa, etc.)
  • Lead, inspire, and develop the team
  • Maintain and elevate luxury service standards
  • Manage financial performance, budgets, and KPIs
  • Uphold brand values and protect the heritage of the estate
  • Build strong relationships with VIP guests, partners, and local stakeholders

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or Deputy GM in a luxury hotel environment
  • Strong understanding of 5-star service, fine dining, and estate management
  • Commercial acumen with a creative, solutions-focused mindset
  • A hands-on leader who leads with empathy and energy
  • Excellent communication and guest-relations skills
  • A passion for countryside living and luxury hospitality
