Salary: c£45-46k, + excellent benefits, dependent on experienceAre you a passionate and experienced HR professional looking to make a real difference? this company is a values-led charity with a dedicated team of around 200 staff (109 full time), and we're looking for an outstanding Human Resources Manager to lead and develop our people strategy.
About the Role
As our Human Resources Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the charity's mission by overseeing all aspects of the employee life-cycle. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will manage a small but vital HR team, including an HR Assistant and a Payroll Manager.
This is a varied, rewarding role with scope to drive meaningful change and promote a supportive, inclusive working culture.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert guidance and leadership on all employee relations (ER) matters
Manage and support a team of circa 200 staff across multiple locations
Oversee recruitment, on-boarding, and workforce planning in collaboration with service leads
Build strong relationships with external training providers to deliver learning and development solutions
Ensure HR policies and practices are compliant, consistent, and aligned with our values
Supervise payroll operations and maintain accurate HR records and systems
Act as a trusted advisor to managers on performance management, well being, and staff engagement initiatives
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
Experienced in managing complex ER cases with professionalism and empathy
Confident in leading teams and influencing at all levels
Knowledgeable in working with external L&D and training partners
Experienced in managing HR operations for an organisation of 200+ staff
A collaborative team player who thrives in a purpose-driven environment
CIPD level 5 or equivalent qualifiedYou'll need to be based near either of our two sites in Norfolk or Suffolk, with regular travel
