JWR is recruiting for a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Venue Manager to take the lead at a thriving, high-energy holiday destination restaurant set in beautiful woodland surroundings.
Set within a stunning natural retreat, this location offers a unique blend of relaxation and adventure. From forest-based activities and wildlife experiences to spa treatments and cosy lodge stays, it's a destination where guests come to reconnect with nature and unwind with their loved ones.

  • From £33,000 (dependent on experience)

The role
You'll lead a busy and dynamic bar and restaurant operation, ensuring an exceptional guest experience every day. This role is hands-on, requiring strong leadership and a passion for hospitality.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and motivating a team of F&B assistants to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Managing staff rotas to ensure appropriate coverage during busy periods.
  • Upskilling your team in service and up-selling techniques.
  • Monitoring food and beverage stock, minimising waste, and managing operational costs.
  • Handling guest feedback and resolving issues confidently and professionally.
  • Creating a positive team culture where performance and guest satisfaction go hand-in-hand.

Requirements
You'll need to be a confident and experienced manager with a proven track record in a busy hospitality setting. You should be comfortable managing a team in high-pressure environments and passionate about delivering memorable guest experiences.
Ideal qualities and experience:

  • Strong leadership, training, and people-management skills.
  • Experience in food and beverage service, including opening, service, and closing operations.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to drive profitable growth.
  • Knowledge of stock control, health and safety regulations, and compliance procedures.
  • Adaptability and availability to work weekends and bank holidays as part of a flexible rota.
