This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Learning & Development Manager to design and deliver a training strategy that supports service excellence, leadership development, and continuous professional growth.
The Learning & Development Manager Role
As Learning & Development Manager, you will be responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive Learning & Development strategy that embeds the company's brand, vision, and values. You will design and deliver engaging training programmes that enhance guest service, leadership capability, and operational performance across the business.
You will manage the training budget, oversee the Learning Management System (LMS), and work closely with managers to ensure training initiatives support business objectives and deliver measurable results.
Key Responsibilities of the Learning & Development Manager
Develop and implement a business-aligned Learning & Development strategy.
Conduct training needs analysis to identify skills gaps and development opportunities.
Design, deliver, and evaluate training solutions including workshops, e-learning, and leadership development programmes.
Partner with managers to drive team performance and guest satisfaction.
Oversee the Learning Management System (LMS) and maintain accurate training records.
Monitor the effectiveness of training programmes and provide key insights.
Keep up to date with industry trends, compliance requirements, and hospitality training best practice.
Build relationships with external training providers where required.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and career development.
Candidate Profile - Learning & Development Manager
The ideal Learning & Development Manager will have:
Proven experience in a Learning & Development role, ideally within the hospitality sector.
Strong knowledge of Learning & Development best practices, instructional design, and digital learning.
Relevant qualifications in L&D, HR, or a related field (e.g., CIPD Level 5 or equivalent).
Experience conducting training needs analysis and evaluating impact.
Excellent coaching, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
Confidence using LMS platforms, Microsoft Office, and training tools.
A proactive, organised, and detail-focused approach.
Experience with apprenticeships and regulatory training (food safety, H&S, customer service standards) would be an advantage.
