We are delighted to be working with a globally renowned luxury hospitality group in their search for an Executive Head Chef to lead the culinary operations of an exclusive fine dining venue in the heart of London. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented and experienced chef with a true passion for Japanese haute cuisine to take the helm of a refined, quality-driven kitchen.The Role
As Executive Head Chef, you will lead a small, stable and highly skilled team to deliver exquisite Japanese dishes crafted from the finest seasonal ingredients. This is a quality-over-quantity operation where precision, creativity, and respect for tradition are paramount. You will oversee all aspects of kitchen management, from menu development and ingredient sourcing to team leadership, stock control, and administrative responsibilities.Key Responsibilities
Lead and inspire a dedicated team in a high-end, Japanese fine dining environment
Maintain exceptional culinary standards, consistency, and presentation
Collaborate closely with senior management to uphold the venue's reputation for excellence
Manage supplier relationships, stock takes, ordering, and cost controls
Ensure all administrative duties and compliance requirements are handled efficiently
Foster a positive, professional, and respectful working environment
About You
Proven leadership experience in Japanese fine dining cuisine is essential - this role requires an individual deeply knowledgeable in authentic and modern Japanese culinary techniques
Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to lead by example and nurture a cohesive, high-performing team
Demonstrable experience managing premium ingredients and maintaining rigorous quality standards
Financial and administrative acumen, with experience in ordering, stock management, and reporting
Full right to live and work in the UK is essential - sponsorship is not available for this position
