Our client is looking for an ambitious and talented Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at our busy Bluewater Shopping Centre location. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to grow within a forward-thinking, supportive company.
As Sous Chef, you'll play a key role in daily kitchen operations, supporting the Head Chef, leading shifts, and helping to inspire a passionate team. If you're driven, creative, and ready for the next step in your culinary career, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management and food preparation
Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation
Support menu development and contribute creative ideas, with a focus on freshness and authenticity
Maintain food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen staff
Support stock control, ordering, and waste management
Help ensure smooth, efficient service during busy periods
Skills & Experience
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
Ability to thrive under pressure in a high-volume kitchen
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Passion for fresh ingredients and producing high-quality dishes
Experience with Spanish cuisine is a bonus, but a willingness to learn and experiment is equally valued
Solid understanding of food safety and kitchen best practices
