A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and proactive MICE Sales Manager to join a well appointed, independent 80-bedroom hotel set in a beautiful waterfront location in Hampshire.
This is a newly created position designed to further grow market share across MICE, groups, and rooms business. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a key role in driving revenue, developing relationships, and positioning the hotel as a leading meetings and events destination in the region.
The Role
Proactively drive MICE, events, group, and rooms sales to maximise market share.
Develop strong relationships across the local business community, corporate market, and event planners.
Create and execute a clear proactive sales strategy in line with the hotel's commercial objectives.
Represent the hotel at networking events, showcases, and business meetings.
Produce accurate weekly and monthly sales reports.
Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to identify opportunities and implement sales initiatives.
Hybrid working: 2-3 days per week out in the community, 2 days at the hotel.
Standalone role initially, with scope to grow a team as results and revenue increase.
About You
Proven proactive experience as a Hotel Sales Manager, MICE Sales Manager, Event Sales Manager, or similar role.
Strong understanding of the MICE market, corporate groups, and hotel rooms revenue.
Excellent organisational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Motivated, self-driven, and commercially focused.
Confident working independently while being a collaborative member of the senior team.
Passionate about representing an independent hotel and growing its presence locally.
