The Role
As HR Manager / HR Business Partner you will partner closely with the General Manager and Heads of Department to deliver a strategic, people-focused HR service. You will be visible across the hotel, building strong relationships, driving performance, enhancing culture, and ensuring exceptional colleague experience in line with luxury brand standards.
This role covers all aspects of HR operations, talent, culture, learning and recruitment in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment.

ABOUT YOU
Currently working at HR Manager or HR Business Partner level.
Strong HR background within luxury hospitality.
Excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills.
Strong understanding of UK employment law and luxury service standards
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as the main HR contact for external partners (schools, agencies, institutions).
Provide tailored guidance, coaching and HR support to HODs and employees.
Share appropriate feedback with HR teams in other hotels.
Conduct regular inspections of staff areas, reporting to HR Manager/GM and tracking improvements.
Hold one-to-ones with team members to understand aspirations, concerns and development needs.
Monitor staff performance, training needs, development potential and readiness for promotion.
Advise HODs, alongside the GM, on leadership and team management.
Support operational dismissals and employee relations matters.
Oversee Hotel Services teams onsite (including safety, time control, wellbeing and workplace compliance).
(International) Participate in HR forums and support local agreement negotiations.
Benchmark local market conditions and maintain awareness of competitor trends.
If applicable: Oversee staff accommodation standards, allocation, inventories and compliance.
TALENT BRANDING & ACQUISITION
Deliver employer branding initiatives in coordination with corporate HR.
Build partnerships with local schools/universities; manage internships and student visits.
Oversee the full internship lifecycle, including performance monitoring and evaluations.
Promote CSR initiatives within the hotel.
Manage end-to-end recruitment for HODs and operational roles (posting, screening, interviewing).
Drive internal mobility and support employee transfers within the hotel group.
Liaise with recruiters from other regions, exchanging candidate information confidentially.
Identify high-potential talent and promote opportunities across the brand.
Ensure key team moments are captured for employer branding use.
Implement corporate HR marketing campaigns (e.g., cultural or sustainability days).
Monitor recruitment KPIs to ensure timely hiring.
LEARNING & TALENT DEVELOPMENT
Coordinate legislative and in-person training programmes and relevant documentation.
Identify training needs and submit information for annual training budgets.
Promote and monitor mandatory e-learning and digital training compliance.
Implement the hotel's annual training plan, managing logistics and communication.
Oversee onboarding and ensure an exceptional welcome process for all new employees.
Deliver induction sessions and support integration into departments.
Support development plans for Heads and Assistant Heads of Department.
Communicate specific training needs to corporate HR for programme design.
Lead the internal talent identification process and maintain talent maps.
Monitor L&D KPIs.
CULTURE & VALUES
Coordinate the annual Employee Engagement Survey and implement action plans.
Support performance evaluations and training on systems and tools.
Monitor continuous improvement actions across the hotel.
Support HODs in driving wellbeing, communication and team-building activities.
Implement recognition initiatives as defined by the brand.
Ensure corporate identity and cultural standards are fully integrated across HR processes.
Track and report culture KPIs.
