This is a beautifully positioned property with a strong and balanced business mix across rooms, food & beverage and events. We are seeking a proven leader from within the UK boutique country house hotel sector, already operating at General Manager level, who brings consistency of career progression, a passion for service excellence and strong commercial awareness.
The Role
As General Manager, you will take full ownership of the hotel's operational and financial performance, ensuring the property continues to deliver exceptional guest experiences while driving profitability and sustainable growth.
You will lead from the front, inspiring your team to elevate service standards and create a culture built on accountability, pride and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Full P&L responsibility and overall leadership of the hotel
Driving revenue performance across rooms, F&B and events
Demonstrating strong commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control
Leading and developing a high-performing senior management team
Elevating service standards and guest satisfaction
Managing stakeholder relationships and reporting to ownership
Ensuring operational excellence across all departments
Identifying growth opportunities while protecting the integrity and character of the property
The Ideal Candidate
Currently operating as a General Manager within a boutique country house hotel in the UK
Proven, consistent career history within quality hospitality environments
Strong leadership credentials with a passion for developing teams
Demonstrable success in improving service standards and guest experience
Excellent financial and commercial capability with full understanding of hotel P&L
Hands-on, visible and operationally credible
Well-presented, professional and guest-focused
