Competitive Salary + gratuities and incentives scheme + Excellent BenefitsWe are recruiting a Front Office Manager for a beautiful, small independent boutique hotel in a fantastic central London location, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a stylish, independently operated property where service standards, attention to detail, and team culture are at the heart of the guest experience.
The Opportunity
As Front Office Manager, you will take full responsibility for leading the front-of-house operation, including Reception and a small Lounge Bar area. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be highly visible within the hotel, setting the tone for service delivery and ensuring a seamless guest journey from arrival to departure.
You will work closely with all departments, driving consistency, professionalism, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere throughout the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day front office operation, ensuring consistently high standards
- Create a professional, welcoming, and well-organised environment for guests and team alike
- Manage, motivate, and develop the Reception and Lounge Bar team
- Take ownership of the guest experience, resolving issues efficiently and professionally
- Ensure all front office procedures and systems are followed effectively
- Oversee and manage Opera Cloud PMS usage
- Prepare team rotas aligned with operational needs
- Support payroll administration and general departmental organisation
- Manage stock control and basic financial administration within front-of-house
- Maintain strong communication with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and other departments
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members
- Provide operational cover and lead from the front during busy periods
- Identify opportunities for improvement and deliver coaching and performance support
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Front Office Manager or Front of House Manager within a 4-star or higher hotel, or in a Duty Manager position for at least 2 years
- Strong understanding of front office operations and guest service delivery
- Experience using Opera Cloud PMS
- A confident, hands-on leader who leads by example
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Calm, composed, and solutions-focused under pressure
- Passionate about delivering consistently high service standards
