Business Development Manager - Meetings & Events | Home-Based | £45,000 + Bonus + Benefits
covering Reading, Watford and Milton Keynes areas
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven Business Development Manager to join a leading hotel group, focused on growing meetings and events revenue across a diverse UK portfolio.
This is a home-based, field-focused role requiring regular travel (3+ days per week, including some overnight stays), ideal for a proactive sales professional with a strong background in M&E and corporate account development.
The Role
- Drive new business and re-engage lapsed corporate clients across meetings & events
- Develop a territory sales strategy targeting high-value accounts
- Build a strong pipeline of corporate, association, and event clients
- Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
- Create and deliver client engagement events to showcase venues and services
- Secure multi-site corporate partnerships across a UK hotel portfolio
- Focus on growing large-scale events and conference business, including AV/production-led opportunities
About You
- Proven experience in hotel sales or meetings & events business development
- winning new business and managing client relationships
- Experience working with corporate clients, agencies, and event buyers
- Commercially driven with excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to manage a territory-based role independently
- Willing to travel regularly as part of the role
Package for the Business Development Manager
- c£45,000 basic salary negotiable for the right person
- £5,000 annual bonus (based on KPI achievement)
- Mileage allowance (25p per mile)
- 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
