JWR is delighted to be working with a stunning luxury estate hotel in Somerset, seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the leadership of one of the region's most celebrated destination restaurants.

The Role
As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager with the day-to-day running of a busy, high-end restaurant operation, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and seamless service delivery throughout every shift. You will:- Lead service with confidence, professionalism and energy
- Support, mentor and develop the front-of-house team
- Help drive team engagement, motivation and retention
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences and confidently manage guest feedback
- Maintain excellent food, beverage and wine knowledge
- Support labour control, rota planning and stock management
- Uphold the restaurant's premium service standards and ethos
- Work closely with senior floor staff and kitchen teams to ensure smooth operations
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members
Requirements
We are looking for a passionate hospitality professional with strong leadership qualities and a genuine love for premium food and beverage service.
You will have:- Previous supervisory or management experience within a luxury restaurant environment
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
- A warm, professional and guest-focused approach
- Confidence working in a fast-paced premium dining operation
- Passion for food, wine and hospitality
- Experience with reservation and POS systems would be advantageous
- WSET qualifications or strong wine knowledge would be highly desirable
