JWR is delighted to be working with an award-winning premium food producer in Cornwall, seeking an experienced and highly organised Production Manager to lead its manufacturing operation.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for production operations, compliance, team leadership and new product development within a well-established and respected brand.

The Role
As Production Manager, you will oversee all day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
You will:

• Lead and manage all production activities across the manufacturing operation
• Supervise, train and develop the production team
• Plan production schedules in line with demand and seasonal peaks
• Manage HACCP systems and maintain food safety compliance standards
• Support external audits and accreditation processes including SALSA and future BRC standards
• Oversee stock control across raw materials, packaging and finished products
• Liaise with suppliers regarding quality, continuity and cost management
• Coordinate maintenance and servicing of production equipment
• Lead New Product Development initiatives and product innovation projects
• Ensure all Health & Safety procedures and risk assessments are maintained and actioned
• Maintain accurate production records, compliance documentation and reporting systems

Requirements
We are looking for an experienced food production professional with strong leadership skills, excellent organisational ability and a passion for quality-driven manufacturing.
You will have:

• Previous experience within a food production or manufacturing environment
• Proven leadership and people management experience within production operations
• Strong understanding of HACCP principles and food safety compliance
• Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills
• Experience managing production schedules and operational workflows
• Confidence managing compliance systems and production documentation
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach within a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to support seasonal production demands

The following would also be advantageous:

• Experience working towards BRC or similar accreditation standards
• Background within dairy, chilled foods or premium food manufacturing
• Experience in New Product Development or product formulation
