James Webber Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an exceptional Financial Controller opportunity within a highly regarded lifestyle hospitality business based in London.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional to join a dynamic hospitality operation, working closely with the General Manager and senior leadership team to drive financial performance, maximise profitability and support strategic decision-making.
The successful candidate will take ownership of all financial operations, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting and insightful business analysis across the property.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Oversee all financial accounting processes and statutory reporting requirements
- Manage cash flow forecasting and banking relationships
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability
- Manage payroll, credit control and accounts payable functions
- Produce benchmarking and commercial performance analysis
- Partner closely with operational leaders to drive financial awareness and accountability
- Support business improvement projects, systems development and process enhancements
- Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders as required
The Ideal Candidate
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Previous Financial Controller or senior finance leadership experience within hospitality
- Strong commercial awareness and business partnering skills
- Experience producing management accounts, budgets and forecasts
- Proven ability to drive efficiencies and improve financial performance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to influence at all levels
