IMMEDIATE START
Our Client is seeking an experienced and passionate Housekeeping Manager to lead the housekeeping operation within our prestigious 4-star luxury hotel in the East Sussex areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated hospitality professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing the housekeeping team, maintaining impeccable guest room and public area standards, and ensuring the department operates efficiently while delivering an outstanding guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop the housekeeping team to consistently achieve high standards.
- Oversee the cleanliness and presentation of all guest bedrooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and leisure facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure standards meet brand expectations and guest requirements.
- Manage departmental rotas, staffing levels, recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Monitor labour costs and departmental budgets to maximise efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure adequate stock control and ordering of housekeeping supplies, linen, and guest amenities.
- Work closely with Front Office and Maintenance teams to ensure rooms are available, maintained, and guest-ready.
- Implement and maintain health & safety, COSHH, and company compliance procedures.
- Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve housekeeping-related issues promptly.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a culture of excellence throughout the department.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a Housekeeping Manager or Senior Housekeeping Supervisor within a quality hotel environment.
- Experience within a 4-star or luxury hospitality setting is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining exceptional standards.
- Effective organisational and time management abilities.
- MUST be able to drive due to location
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and labour costs.
- Good knowledge of health & safety regulations and housekeeping best practices.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and peak trading periods.
- A hands-on management style with a passion for hospitality and guest service.
