We're searching for an experienced and passionate Weddings and Special Events Host to join the team at a beautiful country house hotel renowned for delivering exceptional weddings, private events and celebrations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading teams, delighting guests and ensuring every event runs flawlessly. From intimate celebrations to spectacular weddings for up to 180 guests, no two days are ever the same.

The Role

As Weddings and Special Events Host, you'll take ownership of the operational delivery of weddings, private functions and special events, ensuring every occasion exceeds expectations.

Working closely with the Weddings & Events team and senior hotel management, you'll oversee events from the final planning stages through to completion, becoming the main point of contact on the day and ensuring every detail is delivered seamlessly.

Outside of the busy wedding season, you'll also support wider Food & Beverage operations including conferences, restaurant service and other hotel outlets, making this a varied and rewarding management role.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the operational delivery of weddings, celebrations and private events
  • Attend final planning meetings to ensure a seamless handover from sales to operations
  • Act as the main operational contact throughout each event
  • Inspire, coach and develop a dedicated Weddings & Events team
  • Produce staff rotas and manage labour costs in line with business levels
  • Manage beverage ordering, stock control and minimise wastage
  • Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve any issues with professionalism and care
  • Support conference, restaurant and bar operations during quieter periods
  • Maintain exceptional presentation, cleanliness and compliance across all event spaces
  • Work collaboratively with the wider hotel management team to deliver consistently outstanding hospitality

About You

We're looking for someone who brings both warmth and operational excellence.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous management experience within weddings, events or hotel Food & Beverage operations
  • Proven experience delivering weddings or large-scale events
  • A natural ability to lead, motivate and develop teams
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience managing staffing rotas, payroll and stock control
  • Good commercial awareness, including labour management and beverage GP
  • A calm, positive approach when working under pressure
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays in line with the events calendar

Experience within a hotel environment and knowledge of conference operations would be highly advantageous.
