Hotel Operations Manager - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Large Hotel | Extensive F&B & Conference Operation | 12-Month FTC
JWR is recruiting an experienced Hotel Operations Manager for a large, high-volume hotel with an extensive Food & Beverage, conference, events and banqueting operation.
This is a key senior leadership position within a busy hotel environment and would suit an accomplished Hotel Operations Manager, Director of Operations or Deputy General Manager with a strong background in large, full-service hotels.
The Role
Working closely with the General Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day operational performance of the hotel, with particular focus on its substantial F&B, conference and events business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing the hotel operational teams
- Driving standards across F&B, conference, events, banqueting and guest operations
- Managing a busy and diverse operation with significant event and conference volumes
- Delivering exceptional guest satisfaction and service standards
- Driving revenue, profitability and effective cost management
- Supporting departmental leaders to achieve budgets and operational KPIs
- Ensuring strong communication and collaboration across all hotel departments
- Maintaining brand, health & safety and compliance standards
- Supporting the General Manager with the overall commercial and operational strategy
The Candidate
We are looking for an experienced hotel operator who can quickly establish themselves within a large and fast-paced business.
You will ideally have:
- Senior operational experience within a large full-service hotel
- A strong Food & Beverage and conference & banqueting background
- Experience managing high-volume events and conference operations
- Previous experience as a Hotel Operations Manager, Director of Operations, Deputy General Manager or Hotel Manager
- Strong commercial and financial awareness
- Proven experience leading large operational teams and Heads of Department
- Excellent guest service and people-management skills
- The ability to make an immediate impact within a fixed-term appointment
