General Manager - 4 Star Hotel

JWR is recruiting an experienced Hotel General Manager to lead a quality 4-star, 80-bedroom hotel.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven General Manager who combines strong operational leadership with the ability to grow revenue, maximise profitability and identify new business opportunities.

The successful candidate will take full ownership of the hotel, leading from the front while developing a clear commercial strategy to drive the business forward.

The Role

As General Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the performance of the property, including:

• Full P&L responsibility and delivery of budgeted EBITDA
• Driving rooms revenue, ADR, occupancy and RevPAR
• Identifying opportunities to grow F&B and ancillary revenues
• Developing and executing the hotel's commercial strategy
• Working closely with sales and revenue teams to maximise market opportunities
• Understanding local competitors, demand generators and market trends
• Driving profitability through effective revenue and cost management
• Leading, motivating and developing the hotel's senior management team
• Maintaining consistently high guest experience and operational standards
• Building a strong performance-led culture across the hotel
• Managing payroll, procurement and departmental performance
• Developing relationships with key corporate and local accounts
• Working closely with owners and key stakeholders
• Ensuring the hotel maintains excellent compliance and brand standards

The Candidate

We are looking for an established General Manager with a strong track record within the 4-star hotel sector.

You will be able to demonstrate:

• Previous General Manager experience within a quality hotel
• Strong commercial and financial acumen
• A proven record of growing revenue and profitability
• Excellent understanding of hotel revenue management and key performance indicators
• Strong P&L and budgeting experience
• The ability to identify and convert new revenue opportunities
• Excellent people leadership and team development skills
• A visible, hands-on approach to hotel operations
• Strong stakeholder and owner-management skills
• The drive and ambition to continually improve hotel performance
