Head Housekeeper - Central London Hotel

We are looking for an experienced Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping operation within a large, busy hotel in Central London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong housekeeping leader who is used to managing high bedroom volumes, large teams and a fast-paced operation. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for housekeeping standards, team performance, productivity and departmental cost control.

The Role

As Head Housekeeper, you will:

• Lead, motivate and develop a large housekeeping team
• Maintain excellent standards across all bedrooms and public areas
• Manage daily room allocations and ensure efficient bedroom turnaround
• Recruit, train and develop housekeeping team members
• Manage rotas, payroll and departmental productivity
• Monitor linen, laundry, stock and departmental purchasing
• Conduct regular bedroom and public area inspections
• Work closely with Front Office, Maintenance and the senior management team
• Ensure all health, safety and hygiene procedures are maintained
• Drive guest satisfaction and continually improve housekeeping standards

What We're Looking For

We are particularly interested in candidates currently working as a:

Head Housekeeper | Executive Housekeeper | Deputy Head Housekeeper | Assistant Head Housekeeper

You will ideally have:

• Experience within a large, high-volume hotel
• Strong housekeeping operational knowledge
• Proven experience managing and motivating a sizeable team
• Good understanding of payroll, productivity and cost control
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• A hands-on leadership style and the ability to lead from the front
• The ability to perform effectively within a busy Central London operation

Previous London hotel experience would be advantageous, although candidates from comparable high-volume hotels will also be considered.

Salary & Opportunity

£42,000 - £45,000, depending on experience.
